Thunderbolts Way

from Hodgepodge III by Laceface

/

about

One of Laceface's favourite parts of the world is in the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. Covered in granite boulders as far as the eye can see, the land evokes all sorts of romantic notions of bushrangers, magnificent horses and lives long lost. Of all the bushrangers, Captain Thunderbolt was the most famous in these parts. He was considered the 'gentleman' bushranger, and was Australia's longest roaming bushranger. Thunderbolts Way is a winding 280+km highway that cuts through the Great Dividing Range. The scenery is spectacular and the legend of Thunderbolt is palpable. Laceface also enjoys hiding out at Thunderbolt's Rock.
